Now that I am training MMA, as well as Jiu-Jitsu and lifting weights, I cannot have a dusty ass gym bag. I decided to go with a liquid hand chalk, in hopes it would keep my gear clean and stay where I put it.
I really liked this product. It felt smooth on my hands, I didn't have to reapply a million times, and it worked just as well as powdered chalk - except it doesn't poof clouds of dust all over you and everything in a 3 foot radius.
I thought I'd take you through some of the pulling I do, to show you I can grip significant weight without slippage or shweatty hands. On the first day, I performed one-arm rows with 60, 70, 80 & 90 pound dumbbells. Then I did seated row for a full pyramid of 85, 100, 120, 120, 100, and back to 85 pounds. The second day, I did a 4, 3, 2, 1 pull up ladder four times. Sorry, no deadlifts were on the menu last week, though I am certain the chalk would have done an excellent job.
Long story short: Highly recommended. Side note: If you want to chalk up your back with it, just put it on your hands and slap it on.
